Michal Jordan was born in the Czech city of Zlin, where he started to play hockey in the club of the same name.

In 2007, the hockey player went overseas to the Winsor Spitfires team to play in the Ontario Hockey League. In the NHL Draft 2008, he was selected in the fourth round by the Carolina Hurricanes team.

From 2008 to 2010, he had been playing for the Plymouth Whalers team. On April 16, 2010, he signed a two-way contract with Carolina. Since 2010, he played for the Charlotte Checkers, the AHL affiliate of “Carolina”. Two years later, Michal debuted in the NHL. In the 2016/17 season, he crossed the ocean and continued his career in “Ak Bars”, Kazan. At the end of the championship he moved to “Amur”.

October 21st 2020 have recorded a first hat-trick for defenceman in the history of "Amur".
