Evgeny Alikin was born on October 18, 1994 in Perm. A student of "Molot", the local hockey school. Player’s height - 180 cm, weight - 88 kg. Catches - left.

Prior to joining “Amur”, throughout his career he played in the system of his native club from Perm. Together with the youth team “Oktan”, he won the Cup of Regions - the main trophy of the National Junior  Hockey League. After that he made his way into the main team of “Molot-Prikamye”, where he had spent 97 games in Supreme Hockey League (VHL), 25 of which were in the playoffs of the Bratina Cup. He was included in the top five goalies of the 2014/15 VHL season.

In the off-season of 2015, the young goalie was invited to “Amur”, Khabarovsk.

His "save" in the road game against "Vityaz" was acknowledged by the KHL as "The Best save of the 2019/20 season".
