Oleg Filimonov (10/01/1966, Izhevsk) - goalkeeping coach of HC "Amur". A trainee of Izhevsk hockey. Played as a goaltender. One of the most famous players in the history of Amur Khabarovsk.
Oleg Filimonov was born in Izhevsk. He is a trainee of the local hockey school. Has spent most of his career with Khabarovsk club, joined it for the first time in 1986 and got on board with the legendary coach, Vasily Pozdnyakov.
Filimonov has spent almost his entire career with "Amur", basically playing without any substitutions for a long time.
Went all the way with the team from its formation - the second league of the USSR Championship - to the elite of domestic hockey. He is the goaltender-record holder of the Khabarovsk team in terms of the number of matches in the elite - 160, in the number of wins - 50, in the number of matches at “0” - 12.
His teammates and hockey experts characterized him as a goaltender distinguished by his stability, accuracy and reliability as well as noted his ability to inspire confidence into the team even in the most difficult situations.
In the 2002/03 season, the experienced goaltender strengthened Cherepovets Severstal and became the silver medalist of the Russian Hockey Super League. Having achieved his success, the favorite of Amur fans returned to Khabarovsk.
After the end of his playing career, in 2004, Filimonov moved to the position of Amur goalkeeping coach. While working with the main team for 11 years, he has trained many high-profile goaltenders. Among them is another favorite of Khabarovsk fans, the KHL record holder for the number of shutouts in one season - Alexey Murygin.
In 2015-2017, he trained young goaltenders being the part of the coaching staff of the JHL “Amur Tigers” and later on came back to the Amur coaching staff as a goalkeeping coach.
